As A Student in English 10
In English 10 I felt really confident in what I learned. I felt confident in class and was able to answer questions in front of the class and not feel like mouse. This year was one of the first years in English I felt like really understood what I was learning. I believe that was from all the reading over the summer. Reading more helped me under stand words and understand the stuff we learned. I felt like I understood what the teacher was teaching.

My Superhero story was a story I was really proud of it was something I didn't do often. I took a paper from freshman year in Creative Writing and edited, added, changed, and rewrote the paragraphs. Looking back on a paper I wrote felt like I have grown as a writer. Writing or re-looking at an older piece helped me grow as a writer. In this piece I believe I need to work on details.

The Culture Essay explained what I wanted my future and my goals. I explained how the culture I am surrounded by effect my daily life and how they effect my goals. But I feel that I used too different examples. The essay did stay on topic even if the examples

The I Believe Essay gave dates, times, and places of events I used the quote in my life. The examples really go with my subject. I don't know if my conclusion goes off topic.

The Boyfriend Blog really stated my opinion on High school rituals and how society has been set up. I think everybody need to at one point in high school and think about what they want. I used a you all of a sudden. If I use first person I need to stick with it.
Reading SectionHardest to Easiest
Monster By Walter Dean Myers - was a book that went in one ear and out the other, and when I thought I had Steve( main character) all figured out. I got even more confused. It wasn't written like a normal book. It was written like a play. With no details about the characters I couldn't tell the gender. I am NOT into plays. In the end of the book one lawyer would say Steve is innocent, then another lawyer would he wasn't; he was a payoff. Schemers By CrestFallenStar Clockwise Series by Elle Strauss The Broken One by _ayzie_ The Princess Bride by William Goldman- This book was hard for me because some of the vocabulary that was used was a little to me. The time it was written had different ways things are said. In all It was a fanominal book. This one of my favorites. The First Female Rider by canismangus Rising Shadows by _ayzie_ The Beautiful Ones by writerbug44 Cloaked Beauty by caramelapplee The Runner By so1tgoes Stardust by Neil Gaiman A Thousand Words treblehearts Angelfire by Courtney Allison Moulton-This book is more in the medium because it is a little bit more thick and some of the words are hard to pronounce; since they are Latin, but it is one of my favorite books. The action pack romance kept me interested. It was 500-600 pages. A Dance with Darkness (Angelfire, #0.5) by Courtney Allison Moulton Wings of the Wicked (Angelfire, #2) by Courtney Allison Moulton Shadows in the Silence (Angelfire, #3) by Courtney Allison Moulton A Door To Nowhere By madelinestanfor No Feelings by XxDinkyxX Hope(less) by MelissaHaag Maybe Perfect by winx1348 Stupid Cupid by closet_anarchist Battle of the Captains by seakissed Project Fat Suit by not_present Too Little, Too Late by levi_timbs Cinder and Ella by Kelly Omar Between the Land and the Sea by Derrolyn Anderson- This book is one of the easiest since I have read it more than ten times. It is a book you can never get tired of. It supports a good amount of detail allowing the reader to put a name with features. The Moon and the Tide (Marina's Tales, #2) by Derrolyn Anderson The Fate of the Muse (Marina's Tales, #3) by Derrolyn Anderson The Turning Tides (Marina's Tales, #4)by Derrolyn Anderson My Protector by CameoLover93 Community Service by Infatuated Off the Field by vb123321- This is the easiest. For one it is short and doesn't use super detailed words you don't hear every day. I believe it only has 360 pages. It was about soccer. so some of the terms they used were a little confusing. All in all still a great book. This isn't all the books I have read this year. This is only maybe half of them. "Other Section"Art Work ProjectsSociology ProjectsRape Culture Website- Tori and I did for Sociology for a social change. Rape Culture is a social change that need to be looked upon and known that is isn't the victim fault. Society is telling girls what to wear, how to wear it, not to stay out late, cross their legs, and so many others. Yet, they don't tell people not to rape.
My Sociology reflections- Reflections on articles and the Monster book by Walter Dean Myers using connecting them to sociology. |
