Types of horse PeopleThe “bigger bit, bigger spurs” kind of horse people believe if the horse isn't behaving, all you need is a more severe bit or spur, depending on the situation: If a horse is going faster than the rider wants, put a stronger bit in the horse’s mouth; if the horse isn’t going fast enough, jab it with bigger spurs. These people really don’t mind hurting the horse if they believe the horse is misbehaving. The “let’s go balls to the walls fast!” types of horse people, no matter where they are, will push past you (even in the tightest of places) just to go fast. They think they are better riders than you, even if they are new to the horse business. Some will spend their money on tack (horse equipment) so they are able go faster. Some won’t don’t even care about the tack: It’s all about speed! The “Western Pleasure horse-want-to-be’s” people (the slow people), will tie the horse’s head between it’s legs and pull their head down to make the horse go slow. They will purposely make them go lame so they will go slow. The trainer/riders will make the horse go so slow they will be cantering ( the speed where the horse is running) in the front and trotting (a slow jog) in the back. To make some show horses look “professional” for the show ring, they will “needle” (use acupuncture) the neck, if it is a thicker neck, to thin it down to look more elegant. If their horse has a thinner neck, it has less weight hanging out in front of it, can balance easier, and goes slow without troping. Troping is when the horse trots in the hind quarters and canters in the front. Also, when the rider doesn’t really move throughout the speeds asked makes them look elegant. The “Reiners” are all about the pattern. No equitation required, Equitation is the ability of the rider to hold proper form on horseback, and maintaining a neutral balance, so as not to interfere with a horse’s performance: a straight line could be drawn from the back of the rider’s head, shoulders, hip, and heels. Heels down, chin up, hands in proper position. Reining is all about the maneuvers at the correct speed in the correct fashion; but even these types of people will believe in the bigger bit, bigger spurs, depending on the trainer. The maneuvers in reining are sliding stops (running down the arena in a straight line or diagonally, then having the horse slide on the haunches to a stop), flying lead changes (it is when the horse switches from one leading front leg to the other--kind of like skipping). The spins are other main manuevers. Spins are when the horse is at a complete stop and they pivot on their inside hindleg, while turning the front, making circles. The “Jumpers” are an elite group of athletic riders that have strong legs, arms and bodies to hold themselves still while leaping over obstacles than can be both tall and wide. The horses are hot (horses with lots of energy), and very big (horses that are 16-17 hands--5’4” to 5’8” at the top of their shoulder). Also, these horses are normally very expensive. They are the Ferraris of the horse world. Jumpers jump 18 inches up to 6 feet. They jump mainly fences, but may also jump ditches, water holes, and logs.
I think we should do stem research. It will help us understand diseases and illnesses. Though the information they reveal, we could understand what they do to the body, instead of using real people as test subjects. Two of the stem research tissues are umbilical-cord blood and fetal tissues. Personally, If I lost my baby with miscarriage, I would want to know that what life the baby had would go to science and saving someone else pain in this world. Or after having a child, the umbilical cord being donated to science, knowing that I could be saving someone else pain, suffering, loss, a day dressed in black. Just pushing back a couple years so that someone could have one more smile, a kiss, a hug, an “I Love You”, another anniversary, to see a daughter walk down the aisle, one more midnight oreo snack with milk while hearing stories of funny childhood adventures. It would lessen the pain of a losing of a child or put a smile on my face to see my little miracle. Just knowing someone will someday have one more second, minute, hour, day, month, or year. It is just one more before the pain starts, and that’s all that matters. It gives me closure that I am giving someone else happiness.
The Wattpad book “After Five Years” by Goldenmars. Leila Reyes a 25-year-old single mom of a cute 5-year-old daughter named Melody. After being dumped by the “love of her life”, she soon was kicked out of her home when they found she was pregnant. Five-years later, she was scraping by with the modeling career. Suddenly, she finds a job at her ex’s company by surprise. Her ex soon finds out that Leila’s daughter is his. Ryan Lui is a succsessful businessman. He has been in-love with Leila since he was sixteen. He wants to be in Melody’s life. One year before, he also found he had a son. He will have to win the hearts of Melody and Leila. This book’s author has a good voice. But, I wasn’t a big fan of the idea of a women getting pregnant and not being able to support themselves; Also, that her family kicked her out. Also, that the fact that he wasn’t smart enough to use protection TWICE! I admit it was sad, but she was the one that got herself pregnant by not asking if Ryan had protection before the deed happened. I don’t think that parents should abandon their child, but some parents of certian religions do that. The book didn’t support a young women getting pregnant. It told the struggle of a woman with happy ending, but, that doesn’t always happen to women. I wish life had a pause button. The saying “ The beauty in each is precious! Stop and smell the roses” seems impossible to achieve. Even if there is beauty, how can I stop when life is turning so fast and flying past my eyes? With life flying so fast, I feel like I never have time or am not good enough. I always have something to do and never feel accomplished. When I finally feel like I am at the light in the tunnel, it is just a hole shedding light on what I want to become. I wish I could use that pause button just for one second to see what my future will be like. Even though I have my goals in my future, just one decision or moment can change it. For example my grades, insecurities, my worries, my goals, the tests I take, the stupid things I say in the heat of the moment seem to affect my future. I do wish to take back my actions or things said, but I can’t or be able to. The past is in the past and shouldn’t be obsessed over. You need to live in the moment, smell the roses, not look for the end of the tunnel, but the beginning of an adventure called life.
The Blogs I commented on... Melanie's Blog Keturah's Blog Andrea's Blog Technology In Schools ...Technology in schools has gave us options, but it has caused some problems. Yes, it gives us less paper and makes us organized. Yes, it gives us a way to contact teachers when we have questions. yes, if you miss a day then you can see what other students did in class. But It haveing technology is as good as long as you have wi-fi. With most technology would need internet access to make them work. I know schools want the one to one type system, but there are some problems. Not all students at home have internet access. I know that internet access is expensive. Parents have other thing to worry about besides internet such as food, gas, bills, rent, child’s after school activities. Though I am glad our school wants its students to succeed and go off to school and spends money on us to get us the right technology. So, Thank You Stockbridge. Becoming Beautiful...“Becoming Beautiful” by istolethecookiez is a Wattpad book. It is not a actual published book. Kennedy (Kenna) was never known for her looks. Then she meets Marissa Rivers crying in the school bathroom. They make a deal she will be the designated driver for their parties and Marissa will teach her how to be beautiful. Marissa in turn would teach Kenna have to do the “girly things” such as applying makeup, choosing cute outfits, boys, flirting, and what to do and dress at parties. But as soon as the deal starts she meets Marissa’s half brother Noah. Noah is very quiet and mysterious. He doesn’t do anything active. An example is gym class he sketches instead of runs or any exercise. Slowly she opens up to Noah and their was even a dared kiss and triple chocolate cookies in the mix. Also maybe there is some feelings involved.
The Letter That Separates You...Riiiippppp! Opening the letter that put me right between the line of being an adult and a child. I read the name of my mother on the letter. First I thought it could be jury duty notice. But as I opened the envelope I saw my father’s name and in full capital letters that was to appear in court not paying child support for several months from the loss of his job. I read the date of the appearance November, 5, 2015. I asked myself why my father would do this to himself? Why would he put off payments? I was scared for him. “But he is an adult it was his choice” is what my mom kept saying. Yet, I couldn’t stop worrying. I love my Dad, even though he might of not been the lovey-dovey always telling me he loved me. He might of loved the bottle more than me at some points, but he is trying.About two years after my parents got divorced he became a type one diabetic. Even after the divorce he wasn’t the most happiest guy. Well I wouldn’t feel good or be happy either if the “love of my life” asked for a divorce. Opening the letter from court I felt like I finally knew what it felt to be an adult. As you get older you have a lot of responsibility and I admit it is really scary to think about it. The Blogs I Commented On.. Shelby's Blog Katie's Blog Jacob's Blog Hacking ...The idea that someone would be sick enough to want to kill someone by shutting of their pacemaker or changing their name on the device digitally is sick. Why? Why kill someone? Did they do something to you? Or What? Was it for just some sick pleasure? No! I find it sickening and horrifying. Why would you even think of something like that? If you were that good at hacking go use it for something that could make the world better. Why not help the police or insurance companies. It would help others get jobs and put money into the community. Why wouldn’t they help shut down illegal activities such as human trafficking, illegal gambling overseas, online scams targeting older people. Why not help? It will make you feel better. It will increase dopamine levels and feel better. As Elle Woods would say “ I just don't think that Brooke could've done this. Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don't shoot their husbands, they just don't.” I have officially run out of things to say to tell you the truth.
The Pressure Of School.. School puts pressure on you as a student, but the pressure helps students learn to prepare for their future.Schools put pressure on you by giving homeworks, tests/ quizzes, amounts of time you have to work on class work, and working in groups on projects. In life you have to work hard for what you want in life.Generally, after the students graduate they don’t know how to multitask under pressure. In life people have to pay bills, go to school, keep your car in check with gas and the physical appearance, keep up with rent payments for where you are living, making sure you have food on the table all with one paycheck. When you're out of high school, you are an adult. You have responsibilities. Even though school sometimes teaches you things you might not need you your particular job. That class may make you work harder even though you might not use very often. That creates pressure on to work harder and make sure you understand it so you succeed. School’s put pressure on you, the student to do well. So that you succeed. We are their future.
